A transplanted Yankee, married to my high school sweetheart Jim for 47 years. We have 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and numerous fur babies. Jim's career with the Army and as a government contractor took us to Colorado, Germany, Texas, and lived in the Outback of Australia for 10 years! We have called Fauquier County, VA, home for the past 27 years. I am a slow and steady runner, a quilter, and my 7-year-old grandson thinks I am a cool grandma!

I am the owner of Your College Planning Coach. My company's mission is Making College Affordable, One Family at a Time. I have been licensed in the financial services industry since 1999 and have specialized in college planning services for over 15 years. As a Certified College Planning Specialist and College Funding Student Loan Advisor, I help students select a career path, find an ideal field of study, and help them create a college list for the best chance of acceptance and affordability. Getting into college has become complicated, confusing, and expensive! I help parents understand the college landscape has changed since they attended and why they should look at college as a business. College is now one of the largest purchases they will make in their lives. I can do a better job helping families prepare for retirement by guiding them into paying less for college and minimizing the amount of education debt for both parents and students. Saving the average family $100,000 on a 4-year degree can mean an additional half-million or more in their retirement savings 20 years later. Imagine the cost, and savings, if they have more than 1 child!
