Deb is a master-level trainer in the evidence-based suicide prevention program, QPR. She first became involved in crisis and trauma support in 2008 and has assisted police and fire departments in both Alaska and Nevada, providing on-scene survivor support following a death in the community. Deb founded and directed the statewide suicide prevention outreach, You Are Not Alone, and was able to bring YANA to communities across Alaska by working for the Alaska Department of Education through the University of Alaska. YANA was continuously supported by the Alaska Police and Fire Chaplains, where Deb was an on-scene crisis responder. Along with a degree in Communications, she was certified as a trainer in Mental Health First Aid and Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing. Deb worked at Georgetown University Hospital and, while there, provided suicide prevention training to their Pastoral Care and Residential Minister staff members. Deb furthered her expertise as the manager of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, serving as the National Military Survivor Helpline, and Development Team Manager of Community Outreach.

KEYS 365 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives through cost-free interactive suicide prevention education, which inspires open conversations and strengthens meaningful community connections.
KEYS is an acronym for Knowledge & Empathy Yield Strength. Our dynamic suicide prevention classes provide communities with the tools and techniques for the earliest possible connection. The best-practice framework includes: identifying risk factors and warning signs, asking directly about suicide, offering hope and resources, and the importance of personal resilience and self-care. Each step has an accompanying activity and is presented with the critical lens of empathy. 
KEYS 365 classes are free and presented at the location of your choice. Customized for the community attending and delivered in one to two hours, suicide prevention is accessible to everyone! #Connection Is Prevention
 

-KEYS 365 offers FREE suicide prevention training designed to empower communities with the skills to support others who may be struggling. Our interactive workshops are presented at the location of your choice in 60-90 minutes (lunch-n-learns are great) and make suicide prevention accessible for everyone!
-KEYS 365 is approved for both 1 and 2 hour Continuing Legal Education Credits by the Virginia State Bar and will present at the law firm or location of choice.
-KEYS 365 offers training to university students' teams, clubs, or groups.
-KEYS 365 provides military/veteran and spouses' groups training on-base.
-KEYS 365 customizes classes for the community attending.
