Jeff Kordela has a 40-year track record of leading accounting and finance teams for businesses in the Chesapeake Region of Maryland. Before launching Supporting Strategies, he held leadership roles with various companies while guiding them through high-growth and change management phases. He has supported companies that doubled year-over-year revenues, grown sales at a 40% 5-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR), expanded into multiple states and foreign countries, completed M&A integrations, and raised hundreds of millions in equity and debt offerings. His prior positions include Vice President of Finance for Videology, Executive Director for Laureate Education, and Corporate Controller roles for SafeNet and Paratek Microwave. Now as the Managing Director of Supporting Strategies | Chesapeake Region MD, he guides a team to deliver transformative bookkeeping and controller services to small- to medium-sized companies.
Jeff is deeply committed to the local community and belongs to numerous organizations, including the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs, and Financial Executives International, where he sits on the Board as Treasurer for the Baltimore Chapter. He also serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors for the Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County Inc., contributes his expertise to Edgewood High School’s Academy of Finance, and volunteers in support of organizations such as Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Inc., and The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.
