Peter C. Cotton, President of Best Sales Talent, Inc. operates on the basic principle of “it takes one to know one.” He is a talent acquisition professional offering management consulting services in the search and recruitment of the best sales, sales management, and marketing professionals.
An award-winning salesman and sales manager for GAF, a Fortune 500 company, Cotton has more than five decades of experience in sales, sales management and marketing.
Prior to Founding Best Sales Talent, LLC, he spent 36 years as the President and owner of Sales Consultants of Rhode Island, a franchised office of MRINetwork -- the world’s largest executive search firm. There he specialized in the search, recruitment and placement of sales, sales management and marketing talent.
Capitalizing on his sales management experience, Cotton co-authored a book for the American Management Association — How to Be An Effective Sales Manager.
Utilizing his sales and organizational management skills, while he was operating his recruiting business, Cotton became the Founder and President of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Rhode Island. The Rhode Island chapter was the 75th in the U.S. and was the fastest start-up in the charity’s national history, granting well in excess of 1,000 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses in less than ten years.

Ring of Honor - May 1987 3rd franchisee in the history of MRI to have been accepted into the MRI Ring of Honor for achieving $1 million in fees from placement activity. OTHER AWARDS & HONORS: Presidents Club, Directors Club, Executive Club, 35-Year Honoree, Twice elected by peers as the Sales Consultants Eastern Regional Representative serving two back-to-back terms for four years; total responsibility for the creation and implementation of two regional conventions each year and achieving the highest attendance in the history of Sales Consultants and Management Recruiters as a result of unique and disruptive marketing.
