Tim’s current focus is continuous assessment of Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Data Quality and Data Analytics to drive margin and better manage information risk. Tim prides himself on his ability to communicate complex issues in easy-to-understand business language. The Hack Ninja, where practices and invests his time, focusing on helping others identify unknown risks in their cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. Tim established and leads the Practice and Strategy for Data Quality and Sensitive Data AI-Based Assessments using Machine Learning . This provides a more holistic picture of technological risk vs today’s fragmented picture.During his career, he has spoken on related topics to Institute of Internal Auditors, Institute of Management Accountants, IL Society of CPAs, ISACA, DAMA and published articles in trade journals including the AICPA Go Beyond Disruption series, Electric Light and Power Being Smarter About Smart Meters, and Corporate Compliance Insights on the COSO 2013 Internal Control Framework. Tim holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton and M.S. in Business Analytics and Forensic Accounting from Benedictine University with high honors. He is also certified in the COSO 2013 Internal Control Framework and served with the AIPCA as Technical Advisor for the development of the AICPA Cybersecurity Risk Management Reporting Framework, and as the Subject Matter Expert for “Developing a Data Analytics Mindset”.Tim is based in the western suburbs of Chicago where he lives with his family. His hobbies include drumming in his band Electro Retro, antiques, and history.
